I joined Henry Boot Construction in November 2017 in my current position as a Trainee Business and Marketing Assistant. Soon after, I began my Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship, which I will complete in April 2022. I started in the Marketing department, working on news articles and managing social media. However, over time, I have begun working more on the Business Development side, seeking new opportunities through research and networking.

I joined Labcorp Drug Development (formerly Covance) in 2020 as a Data Science (SAS) Degree Apprentice. I have been completing a degree in Data Science with York St John University since September 2020 and anticipate to gain my bachelors degree in September 2023. I took on the role as social media lead in early 2022 as a new opportunity to develop a variety of new skills and have the privilege to highlight what apprenticeships have to offer.

I joined Jet2 in mid 2021 as a Software Development Apprentice after finishing my A-Levels earlier in 2021. I have always enjoyed programming so when I was approaching the end of my school years I decided to look at apprenticeships rather than university.

Though I always enjoyed the academia aspect of school, I felt like university wouldn’t give me the confidence heading into the working well, that I needed the most. My apprenticeship has given me the best insight into the marketing industry, whilst still learning on the job. I want other people in the same position I was in to know that university is not the only option out there, so hope I can do that being part of the network 😊

I left school at 16 and worked my way to where I am now with grit and determination, and without choosing university as my vocation.

I am an avid fan of sports mainly football both playing and watching. I live in Leeds. I am 26 years old. I joined Jet2 in October 2021 as an apprentice IT Project Manager. I have previously worked as an Electrician, in warehousing, supermarkets and logistical planning.

I am a heating and ventilation apprentice at NGB and I'm currently about to go into my 4th year with the company. I am a site based operative and get hands on with a variety of different tasks daily. I am actively trying to encourage women into the construction industry and I'm super keen on showing that apprenticeships can make you just as successful in your chosen field as going to Uni would.

I am 21 years old. I'm currently working for Arco as a SHE Technician Apprentice. I have been at Arco for nearly 2 years, which has flown by. I have previously completed an apprenticeship in Business Admin. Both apprenticeships have given me the opportunity to gain vital experience in the working world. In my free time, I love being outdoors, walking, being at the beach and just seeing new places.

Having withdrawn from University realising that the course and university lifestyle was not for me, I decided to undergo an apprenticeship in an industry which has always been a huge interest of mine. Being in the RAFAC really strived my passion for aviation, and I have always known I wanted to undergo a career in the industry.

I am an operations manager at Arco Ltd responsible for the day to day runnings of it's hose business. My role covers procurement, customer service and the warehouse/manufacturing activities amongst a hose of other activities. I have been with the business for over 18 years, starting from college and working my way through various roles, this helped to build a broad experience for the position I hold now.

Hi, I'm Maya. I am a civil engineering apprentice based in Leeds. In my spare time I enjoy watching formula 1, going to the gym and spending time with my family and cats.

I qualified as a paralegal in September 2022 after completing my 2 year apprenticeship. I am hoping to get onto the Solicitor apprenticeship, which I'm applying for at the moment. In my free time I play football 3 times a week for an open age team - I've played football since I was 5, I absolutely love it. I also coach an Under 7's girls football team 2 times a week at my grassroots club that I started at.

In my free time I like to engage in physical fitness as it allows me to push my boundaries as well as making memories with my family and friends whether that be through holidays, day trips or signing up to charity events!

I came straight from college after previously studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at Middlesbrough college. In my spare time I play field hockey and I sail a laser dinghy competitively. I also enjoy playing airsoft and I used to be a beaver leader at my local scout group.

I'm 20 years old and I started my apprenticeship 2 months ago. I've always had an interest in Cyber Security as I spend a lot of time online and using my computer. I studied Computer Science and IT at college and wanted to persue something like this as a career.

I am a bit older than the average apprentice. I had worked in the care sector for years until I decided that I wanted a huge change and joined Yorkshire Housing in 2022.

Hi, I'm Gem. I'm a Cyber Security Risk Analyst Apprentice. My A-level subjects were Geology, Graphics & Engineering, which shows the way I tend to combine science and art (the way my teachers told me not to.) I enjoy playing video games, watching formula 1 and I’ve recently got back into karate, working through my belt gradings. I want to inspire people the way I wish I’d been when I was just a shy young girl.

My name is Georgia, I am 25 years old and from Sheffield. I am currently employed as an architectural assistant at aad architects in Sheffield whilst studying as a Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeship at Sheffield Hallam University. I completed my Level 2 BTEC in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at The Grimsby Institute, my college held a virtual tour of Drax Powerstation where I applied for an apprenticeship, I was successful with my application. I went on to complete a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering at the Humberside Engineering Training Association, I now work on site full time as a Mechanical Apprentice.
